Ölüm acısında ikinci zorluk; Azrail (a.s.) ile karşılaşmaktır. Günahkârın canını alırken, Azrail (a.s.)’ın girdiği surete en kuvvetli insan bile tahammül edemez. Mü’minlere ise güzel bir surette görünür. Ayrıca kiramen kâtibin denilen iki koruyucu melek de görülür. Bu melekler de günah sahibine ve sevap sahibine hallerine uygun görünürler. Ölüm anında gözlerin sabitleştiği vakittir. Bir daha gözler hareket edemez.
Ölüm acısında üçüncü zorluk; kişinin gideceği yer hakkında bir nida duyması ve gideceği yerin gösterilmesidir.
“Sizden biriniz nereye gideceğini bilmeden ve hatta Cennet veya Cehennem’deki yerini görmeden dünyadan çıkmaz” İbn Ebi’d-Dünya
Bu hadis ile bildirildiği üzere, ölüm meleği ya: “Ey Allah’ın dostu, sana Cennet ile müjdeler olsun” diye veya: “Ey Allah’ın düşmanı, sana Cehennem ile müjde olsun” diye nida eder.
Burada ilimden kast edilen, imandır. Zira bir kişi ne kadar tevekkül etmenin faziletine dair ilmi öğrense, Kur’an ve Hadisleri ezberlese; kalben Allah’a sığınmanın gereğini yakinen hissedemiyorsa, iman edemiyor gibidir. İman Allah(c.c.)’ı bütünüyle kavrayabilmek ve bunu kalbin hiç itiraz etmeden tasdiki demektir.
Misal ile söylemek gerekirse; birisine Allah’ın her yarattığının rızkına kefil olduğunu söylesen, bunu biliyorum dese bile, bilmesine rağmen kalbi bir türlü tasdik etmez. Ve meselâ; gelecek korkuları olabilir, ilerisini teminat (garanti) altına alma telâşına girebilir. Bütün bunlar tevekkül hakkında bilgisi olduğu halde, olur. Bu bakımdan tevekkülde ilim, iman demektir. Tevekkül, tevhidin üçüncü makamında başlar. Tevhid; sebepleri değil, sebepleri yaratanı görmektir. Kişi tevekkül ederken, Rabbine itimad etmiştir de O’nu kendi hakkında vekil olarak seçmiştir. Kulun bu itimadı kalbinde bulmasının sebebi, Allah(c.c.)’ın rahmetinin genişliğine olan imanı sebebiyledir. Tevekkülün kemali, vekile itimad ve O’na tam manasıyla bağlanmakla olur. İşte bu iman, büyük bir imandır. Ve bu iman her konuda Allah-ü Tealâ’nın adaletinin eşsiz olduğunu anlamaktır. Meselâ; cahillik, fakirlik, hastalık insanların bir kısmına rahmettir. Zenginlik, sağlık, ilimlenme de bazıları için rahmettir. İşte bunların, Allah’ın hikmetinden dolayı böyle olduğunun bilinmesi gerekir.
Dünyada noksanlık olmadan, kemalin kıymeti bilinmezdi. Hayvanlar yaratılmasa insanın şerefi belli olmazdı. Bu bakımdan noksanı ve kemali yaratmak, Allah-ü Tealâ’nın cömertlik ve hikmetindendir. Bu sebeple bütün kullar en akıllı ve en ilmî anlayışa yatkın yaratılmamışlardır. Hakk’ın muradı ise, en kemal sahibi olan kulunun dahi, bütün kemaline rağmen, Rabbinin kudreti yanında ne kadar aciz olduğunu bilmesidir. Hatta kullar arasında en aciz olandan dahi daha aşağılarda olduğunu bilmesidir. Zira, kemal sahibi basiret ile, o eksik kula nâzaran pek çok şeyi bilmektedir. Bilgilenme konusunda bütün donanıma sahiptir. Ve bildikçe de ne kadar çok şeyi bilemediğini bilmektedir. Bu görüş ile; belki de noksan olanın yaratılma hikmeti, kemal sahibinin kendi acziyetini bilmesi içindir. Hakikaten kulun acziyetini bilebilmesi için, kemal sahibi olması gerekmektedir. Çünkü kulun ne kadar aciz olduğunu hissedebilmesi, ancak kemalât ile mümkündür. Bazıları bu noktaya gelmeden dilleri ile aciz olduklarını ifade etseler de, bu taklittir.
Tevekkülde ilim, imandır ve iman ise kalp ile tasdiktir demiştik. İlim kalbin onayladığı her şeydir. Eğer kalp onaylamıyor ve yalnız dil ile söyleniyorsa, bu kuru lâftır, ilim değildir. Tevekkül makamının ilmi bu bakımdan doğrudan tevhide bağlıdır. Bu ilim muamele ilmine aittir. Tevhidin hakikatini yaşamak ise, tevekkül ilminin mükâşefe kısmını hazırlar.
Kalpteki iman kuvvetlendiğinde “yakîn” adını alır. Yakîn de her konuya göre ayrıdır. Tevekkülde yakîn; “Allah’dan başka ibadete lâyık kimse yoktur. O tektir, ortağı yoktur. Mülk O’nundur, Hamd O’na mahsustur. O’nun gücü her şeye yeter” cümlesini söyleyenin kalbi de buna iman etmişse, tevekkülün aslı olan imandan söz edilmiş olur.
